Coke Mining uses

Bituminous coal in isolation of air, heated to 950-1050 ℃, after drying, pyrolysis, melting, bonding, solidification and shrink made the final coke, this process is called high-temperature coke (high-temperature dry distillation). The high temperature coking coke is used for blast furnace smelting, casting and gasification. The recycled purified coke oven gas is good fuel of high heat value, also is an important organic synthetic industrial raw materials.

In addition to a large number of coke for iron and nonferrous metal smelting (metallurgical coke), coke is also used for the foundry, chemical, calcium carbide and ferro-alloys. Its quality requirements are different such as foundry coke, generally require a large size, low porosity, high fixed carbon and low sulfur content; Coke for chemical gasification has no strict requirements on strength, but requires a good reactivity, and higher ash melting point; Calcium carbide for the producing coke required to maximize the fixed carbon content.
